How much does regearing cost?

Typically $1,200-2,500 for parts and labor for both axles. Dana 30/35 are cheaper; Dana 44/60 cost more. Shop around for quotes.

Can I regear just one axle?

No — both axles must match or you'll destroy the transfer case. Always regear front and rear together.

What if my ratio isn't available?

Go with the closest standard ratio. Being slightly off (±0.10) is fine. Being a bit shorter (numerically higher) is usually preferred.

Will regearing void my warranty?

It may affect drivetrain warranty. Check with your dealer. Many manufacturers allow it if done properly with documentation.
